親戚家小孩過繼問題，請教多謝

老公背著我跟他姐商量把她家14歲上國內初一小女孩過繼給我們來美上學的事。我們沒小孩，他姐姐姐夫都在中國就一小孩。

我心裏不可能同意但想知道這事符合美國法律嗎？
