Just send a personal check. Very easy. The check can be from your checking accounts with any US banks. The receipient in China can deposit this check in any Bank of China offices in his/her town. The fee is a flat rate of $2.5 or so for the check amount under US$1000. Over US$1000, 0.1% fee of the check amount.

Other Chinese banks may have the same services.
