Violence is not a solution for any dispute. If you feel hurt, say it! Just don't try to find an excuse to beat a women.

A lot of times, at the beginnig of the relationship, couples have not learned to live with each other, and to deal with the difference and frustration. Try to communicate a little better. It might be very effective to remind him of the consequences if you go to the police. Most people would think twice if their job, green card etc is on the line.

Just don't make it a habit.
