You will need to file the judgment form, FL-180, notice of entry of judgment form, FL-190, Declaration of uncontested judgment form, FL-190 if you request a judgment by mail, along with your MSA, to the clerk asap. The court will make a determination six months and one day after the original petition was served and signed the judgment form and the notice of entry of judgment form. The date will be on the notice form. That date will determine whether you will be single or still married on Dec. 31, and how you should file tax return next year.
Depending on the caseload, this could take 6-8 weeks. It could be delayed if the clerk sends the forms back to you to fix errors.
You should take everything to a self-help center and ask the attorneys there to help you fill the forms and submit them right away.
