Sorry I have to use English - don't have Chinese input software. Had a bad day and hope the nice people here can help me out: A kid threw a rock and cracked my windshield while I drove by a football practice field this evening. He was 7 yo. His dad did come forward and gave me his name phone # and email. There were other adults on the football field at the time. I called police and the policeman took down the father's name and address, kid's name and birthday. I gave my name, phone and address, driver license, insurance info. My question is: Is the father liable for my windshield repair cost? If he refuses to pay, I might have to go after the football club through their liability insurance. Unfortunately I don't have comprehensive insurance coverage for my car.:( I'd appreciate any advice.
Is the parent liable for windshield broken by his kid?
