Questions about a 2 years old car accident

Hi, I lived in TX and had an accident over 2 years ago. It was my fault. They had 4 people and they told me nobody was injured. My insurance paid to fix their car.

Then last month, I received a letter from my insurance company informing me that they were trying to settle with him on the filing for personal injury (did not know when they filed). Then yesterday, I got a civil citation stating that he was suing me for serious personal injury due to my negligence and apparently my auto insurance did not settle with them.

Can anyone give advice on what to do? Find a lawyer?

Can they sue me if they could not settle with insurance company?
