If you bought them using your credit card,

call the credit card company.  American Express, Citi Master Card, etc all have insurance that go with the products charged on the card.  But you have to prove they were stolen, which won't be a problem since you reported it already to the airline.  Call credit card, get the police/airline report to show they were stolen, your credit card company should give you money back.  We lost two kindles this month but Citi Master said they don't cover lost ones.  I said my kids put them on the bleacher and they are gone.  That meant someone stole them.  The rep said if I have a police report, I can attach it with the form they'll send me.  I'm not sure whether the police would let me report it or not.  Bad luck just like you.  Good luck to you and to me!
