我姐姐2001年5月第四類親屬移民申請批準，2010年8月接到通知說排期到了，2011年1月完成材料申批，材料發往廣州領事館，等待麵談至今。

因母親病重，姐姐和她16歲兒子申請探親簽證被批，將於下周來美。

想請問各位專家：

侄兒是否可以在美等待GREEN CARD？

-No. But if his mother gets the immigration visa to enter US (get the green card), the child can file I-485 within US to get the green card. However, the kid has to maintain his legal status until he files I-485 and it seems it is difficult.

如果可以，是否可以進入公校讀書？

是否將來還要回廣州麵談？

-He had better get the immigration visa with his mother in Guangzhou and then, enter US with his mother.

現在大概還要等多久才能拿到GREEN CARD？

-I think they should get their immigration visa in about 6 months.
