If you really care fair, then you should go to court and give your voice. Otherwise, you should just take the class and let this case closed.
That police might be a BS, but you should not fight with a BS when drivng. Strictly, that police were right for what you did. as a driver, you could have two choices at that moment, 1) go forward and make a U turn sometime later; 2) slow down and slow down until that car passed and make sure another driver yield.
You should not assume that police did not yield intentionally, it might be a con- incident.
