If the traffic was not heavy, and you did not block the traffic, you should call the police;

If you blocked the traffic, found some witness or at least took some pictures before you move;

Because you had the stop sign, you should have to yield. Even you almost passed the middle line, I think you still have some kind of responsibility;

I guess the other side did not have insurance,  so it might be good to report to your insurance company in case you got suit. You might have to bear your loss.
