Feedback please

I had a car accident this morning:

I got hit by a car behind me after I switched my lane from left to right. I asked the driver to provide her driver license, but she didn't. So I had to call police. However, the police report stated that I was at fault becuase I was the one made the lane change during the collision. I did turn my signal on, and turn my head back to ensure it's clear before I made turn, but I didn't argue with the police office. As the result, I got a "unsafe lane change" citation. However, the other party also got a citation for she is a unlicensed driver.

I would like to appear to the court. What's the odd for me to win the case? Your feedback is appreciated!

ps: i have been driving 20 years in U.S with clean driving records.
