It's possible, but it is a (very) long shot

First, it is not possible for the american court to take this specific case, because it happened in China.

However, if the same model of the refridgerator is sold in the U.S. and you can prove the refridgerator can cause fire and haier knows it and doesn't recall the product. You will then have bases to sue. If all you want is the right amount of compensation, you might be able to get it this way. However, as you can see, you need to prove a lot things and that's why it is a long shot.
