遇到賴賬的交了錢不給貨，怎麽辦

本人為一位越南華僑問一下，他花了16000美刀買yamaha的船引擎，發票上注明5月交貨，不過5個月過去了，買方（老美）一直不答複，唯一回答沒錢可還。有什麽方法討回貨款，不用請律師呀。16000是他身家性命了。謝謝先
