My next-door neighbor has built a gigantic deck out of his second floor in a two-stored house in the Sunset of san francisco.
He built the deck without permit, and legalized afterwards because someone complaned.
The deck is 19 by 18 feets.
My house is just next to his with a shared wall, a typic style in the Sunset area, and my house has the same structure: a two stored building as his.
When i stand in my back yard, i feel as if the deck was falling over my head; when i see his deck from my bedtomms, i feel as if someone right stood besides. So my privacy is invaded.
I have filed an appeal to the board of appeal in san francisco today.
Any one here has similar experience? Can you suggest what is my chance to win my appeal?
I need to submit a letter to reason my appeal, what should or should not put in the letter?
Thanks for your advice in advance
