From what i can tell, teh consultant you are working with is a control freek. it is really hard to deal with peopel like that. Discrimination is not that evident, though. My boss is also a control freek. I know how hard it is to work with them. even for americans, it is hard too. One of my colleagues has to transfer to another boss to aviod this woman.
Think about what you want to do next. If you still want to stay on, being a little more diplomatic would be mroe useful and helpful than filing against the company. If it is a very big company, transfer to another group/department may be a good choice.
