收養Canada 小孩

請教一問題，請大家幫忙。
我是美國公民，妻子是綠卡。自己的孩子大了。
現在，有一家是加拿大公民中國朋友（在美國）家中出難。孩子是14.5歲，父母病重，托孤於我，我們同意收養(adoption)。想知道具體操作細節。
