detail on our 50 year old house

When we bought the house, it was found with active termite, and the seller paid for the initial tented treatment for $4800. Second year was fine, third year we found termite droppings by our window, so we hired another termite company to do another tended treatment for $1600. Last summer we did a retreatment for $700, and this summer we are doing another tented treatment for $1600 in July. We were advised that it's enough to do a $700 retreatment (where they dun have to tent your house) every summer.

We sold our four year old rental property last Sept, and it was found w/ minor termite problem, We paid a little over $1800 for the treatment.

termites is the most common pest in CA homes, with whatever houses u're buying, u're gonna find termites sooner or later. Unless you are looking to buy a brand new home in Cali, termites will always be a deal breaker if that's a problem for you.

Termites isn't a big deal as long as you have a pest control company come out to do an inspection once every year.

We have purchased 6 homes and sold 5 in CA over the past 11 years, and only one of them didn't have termite problem and that particular house was purchased brand new sold at 3 years old.
