請問在休長期殘障休假(long-term disability leave)時，可否要求回原公司上班？

請問在休長期殘障休假(long-term disability leave)時，可否要求回原公司上班？是否因此會失去long-term disability benefit?

我去年得重病，我從去年五月開始修短期殘障休假(short-term disability leave)，到了去年十一月(after 6 month)病仍未好，就進入長期殘障休假(long-term disability leave)，拿long-term disability benefit (60% of my salary)。 按公司的說法我得職位已terminated。

現我感覺好一點，想回原公司上班，請問原公司HR會讓我回去嗎 (they claim that my previous position was eliminated, and no current position open)？我回去時會帶一封醫生證明說我的身體好多了，公司會不會以此為理由即不給我position，又斷了我的long-term disability leave benefit？進退兩難中。
