Update on school bus violation

老貓&husky- Thanks for your earlier advice. I consulted with serval lawyers and they all recommended not to talk to the police but rather wait for the charges.
The police dropped a name card at my door again today and aksed me calling back ASAP. I called the lawyers and they still recommended not to respond.
I am a little concerned. What's the ramification if i do not respond? Do I have the right not to respond, because I was not charged yet?
Why the polcie bother driving to my house and drop the note instead of send me a charge? I assume they are not sure who the driver is. But they can file the charge again the owner of the car.
Any insights and advice?
