Just like the fact that a cat is an animal. Some neighbors are more understanding and tolerant. Unfortunately your neighbor seems to be determined not to put up with your music/noise. Whether you think it is noise or not, your behavior (playing musical instrument) has disturbed and annoyed your neighbor, and there is no way for you to win that argument when push comes to shove. Either you find a joint solution with your neighbor or move out. You are lucky that you are only renting the place. It is far more problematic if you have purchased the apartment.
