替朋友急問前夫被IRS查稅牽連到她的事

朋友已離婚,但是離婚前有好幾年都是和前夫報的joint return.她前夫以賭博為生有好幾年了,幾乎不報稅,現在IRS寫信說2006年他贏過一筆4萬的獎金沒交稅,她前夫現在中國,有美國綠卡.說他們應該一人交一半.
我朋友一則不甘心替他交稅,另一方麵更怕他有一天所有逃的稅都被查出來,她前夫不回美國的話,她可能要一下背上十幾萬的債(這是猜測,她前夫從不告訴她到底贏了多少).但是現在IRS隻是查那4萬,又不能去自投羅網.她又急又氣.這裏的專業人士幫幫忙,有沒有什麽意見和建議呀?
