I understand how you feel -- I will be quite angry myself. However, if they did not physically hurt you or verbally abuse you, I think you'd better just let it pass. Besides Old Cat's reason of terrorists, recently, there were several cops killed in my state (bordering to Canada). They are probably more cautious these days.
