Dear old cat:
Sorry for my English typing, it is easy at work.
First thing I want to say is I really admire you. I enjoy reading you post about legal advice, some are funny, for example: divorce 101 and those wisdom words in traditional Chinese.
Now, I need your help.
I work in a doctor’s office in Maryland.
I am exempt, full-time employee.
I was wondering if the 15 minutes break by law must be in the 30-minutes unpaid lunch break.
So, 30 minute unpaid lunch is the only break I get for 8 hour work day. In other words is I have to stay at the office for 8 and half hour with one unpaid break only.
And do I have to take 30 minutes for lunch break? Not 20?
Is it legal?
And new employee can’t take vacation time for the first 60 days and can’t take sick leave for the first 90 days.
Sick leave will gone if you not use it for the first two years of employment.
BTW, I am looking for new position now.
Thanks again!
