1. Vision may loss and can be blind in the worse scenario (the worst one is brain damage and death)
2. Scars will show up in the forehead permanently.

I don't think anybody like to get the above two without compensation.

BTW, when I reminded the department that by law I should be paid since the first day of H1B, they got annoyed and said "you came from China and you want to fight with the school?!" and now I still couldn't get paid. When I asked for a phone for the office, they said it costs $16 per month, can I use cell phone? ... for saving their face, I didn't reply as I would like to pay the cost if you allow me to. ...

I am a Chinese in a wierd place?
