父母來暫住，房東要求寫入lease，合理嗎？老貓請幫忙！

我在Virginia租房，父母三個月前從大陸來探親，眼看下月9號就要回國了，幾天收到房東的通知，說發現有不在lease上的人入住，要我們去office把他們名字加上，要不就得在三天內離開，否則就算lease breaching。我覺得有點不合理，難道他們不能算guests嗎？合同上沒有這方麵的說明。Virginia Residential Landlord and Tenant Act 中我也沒有找到具體的規定。請老貓或哪位高人指點！
