he is not paid by hour, and there is theoretically no extra pay for extra hours worked outside 9 to 5. I can assure you that lawyers work long hours, but not the LONGEST hours by any stretch of means. If you complain because your hubby comes home at 6am (does not sound like a frequent event either), then you should see the hours for investment bankers and management consultants. Working in the office 72 hours straight is nothing unusual. If you want the money and prestige, then pay your due.
