I had breast feeding for about 5 months but I also add 2 OZ every day from the beginning since I didn't have enough milk. It lasted about 2 months. Later on after I pumped the milk and fed the baby using bottle, I got some idea how much the baby would have for one time. Then when I didn't have enough, I just fed some formula first and then breast fed. When I went back to work, we mixed small amount of formula with breast milk and gradually increase formula unless it completely replaced breast milk.
