This is relayed by my hu*****and, who picked up both kids today from summer camps.
On their way back home, my 5 year old son proudly announced that he has a girlfriend and added that it's not the teacher :-)..
His 8 year old big sis tried to explain to him the meaning of girlfriend, "If a girl just plays with you, that doesn't necessarily mean she is your girlfriend. You have to like her, and she has to be interested in you."
The little brother replied, "Then I will ask her tomorrow if she is interested in me.."
Hahahaha.........
