It is a very small corner covered by a number of shops including the resturants among which one is named 'Yakiniku-Takara-Shima'for barbeque, and one is a pub coupled with a Karaoke box.
Definitely we come there for a good dinner to celebrate our successful completion and the interesting results we have obtained. But more importantly,
I want to go there for a book shop. To my knowledge it is the only book shop in Tsukuba. I like it because where I can get heaps books for science and technology. I am always interested in buying them, as I am keen to know the state-of-the-art of the Japanese sci and tech.
But the SHOP IS GONE, it is replaced by a pharmacy.
This is very dissapointing and frustrating. Tsukuba is the Science city in Japan, but its only book shop was shut, possibly because of business problem.
Few people like science and technology. So the books and journals for science are not welcome anywhere.
What can we do without science?
