I have no idea.

I can't imagine what a 5-year old boy can do to grant an award. Both my wife and I think his teacher is just wanting to give him a surprise. It is his turn this time, next time it would be another guy, either nice or nasty. It does not matter... 

Anyway, he is very excited for the new school and his teacher. Particulary today after came back home he wrote a letter to his teacher and wrapped a gift (from mine) and plan to bring to the school for a surprise to the teacher.

What a lovely age!
