To change/extend status within US, you have to have continuous NONIMMIGRANT status (small gap is acceptable by some immigration officers). Since the first day you used 485-based EAD, you lost your nonimmigrant status. If you want to get a nonimmigrant status, you have to leave US and get a visa to re-enter.

Whether you can get a nonimmigrant visa or not depends on how long you have stayed in US illegal and if you have violated your nonimmigrant status during your legal stay. The longer you stay in US illegally, the bigger the risk you can't come back.

After your 485 is denied, your stay in US is illegal. Consult a lawyer ASAP.
