Why me, why now? please help!

Hi, I have my 140 approved and 485 pending. I planned to go back China to marry in late June and come back with my wife with H1B/H4 in late July. However, I received finger print notice today, asking me that I need to finish my finger print no less than Aug 17th. The time schedule is still OK if there is not surprise. However, is there any possibility they can not decide if they can give me H1B or not and need to check my background? In this case, could I still come back using Advacne Parole before they finish the checking? What a mess! I hate it! Please help.
