Hi, I just talked with the lawyer about this today. As he said you can do nothing before your 485 approved. Only after your 485 approved, you can apply the consular processing for her, which will last for about one year. The attorney can do it for you by $1000. That's what I was told. However, if you go to check the instruction part of 485 form, "If the sponse or child residing aboard, the person adjusting status should file form I824, Application for action on an Approved Application or petition, concurrently with the pricipal's adjustment status application", which looks you can apply for your spouse now, but you case have to be approved before hers approved. I;m not sure if this is the so called "consular processing". Anyhow, the lawyer says the best way is to have her to come vis H4.
