If you do choose to apply for another entry visa in Canada, then if your application is rejected, you CANNOT take advantage of the automatical revalidation rule to come back, technically. In practice, some people still do or are able to return, but it is a risk you will have to take.

Talk to the ISO at your new school, you will be told the same thing.
