Bring all your paper work with you, and you will be asked when you intend to move to Canada permenantly. You can defer it until after you graduate, but it is entirely up to them if they will process your maple card or not. But in order to get your maple card which will allow you to enter Canada freely, you have to provide them with a Canadian mailing address.
You need to proivde proof of funds. US bank statements are acceptable. You will be interviewed and then you will be send to Custom, and there you will be asked to provide a list of items you intend to bring into Canada. I think it may be your only chance to provide the detailed list (with product/serial ID if available such as the ones etched on electronics or cars). If you don't actually intend to immigrate to Canada at a later time, then it is not important, otherwise, be as detailed and specific as you can.
