What's your current status? H1 or adjust of status based on you 485? If the latter is your case, renew EAD as soon as possible. You should renew it 90 days in advance before it expires. Sometimes it takes more than two years to get the 485 approved. BTW, a valid EAD is a extra merit for your status.
