There are two types of postdoc position. If you offer is postdoctorate fellow, you don't need HRSDC confirmation. With your offer letter. your resume and your Ph.D. degree, you can apply for TRV and work permit. If your position is research associate, you need HRSDC confirmation.
If your immigration to Canada is approved, you need to leave Canada to land.
