Actually you don't need to be paid the LC salary before I-485 approval. LC is for future position, you don't even need to EVER work for the sponsor before I-485 approval, (then you will need to work for 6+months for the sponsor after GC at the prevailing wage if not already worked 6+months/180 days for them since I-485 filing but before approval).

If you are on H1, you do need to get paid at least the wage on your LCA (may or may not be the same as the PW on LC) for you to comply with H1 status requirements.
