I don't know the situation in Chinese passport. I have a friend who is a Canadian permanent resident in Canada and a Singapore citizen. He has an expired Singapore passport with a valid 10-year B1 visa and a new passport without visa. Every time he goes across the border to US, he takes both passports. Even Singapore is a visa waive country for US visiting, sometimes the US border agent asks him to show a valid visa to enter US. He has no problem to have a valid visa on an expired passport.
Therefore, I feel you will be in the same situation. The visa on your expired passport is valid. Call or visit your local USCIS office in the airport to make sure.
