I got a postdoctoral offer from University of Central Florida. $32k/per year + bringe benefits. However, when I filled the form to request a prevailing wage from the department of labor work in FLorida, they respond with a $4,800 monthly determination salary. That means to get my H-1B visa, my postdoctora salary should be at least $50k per year. How to circumvent this case? Thank you very much any of your help!
Note: In the prevailing wage request form, my title is "Postdoctoral Research Associate", Duties are conduct full time research, assist graduate and student in research and publish new finds and co-author reports. Skill level is ONE. Experinced years. 3 years. Occupation years:1 year. Training year: 1 year.
