Please comment on I-140/I-485

I submitted a self-prepared I-140 (NIW) petition in Aug 2004 to TSC, and received notice last week requesting further evidence that demonstrates the intrinsic merit of my petition. I am currently working on that. My question is, is there any benefit (time-wise) by including a Form I-485 at the same time when I respond to the I-140 request? If there is no advantage for submitting the Form I-485 now, I'll probably wait until my I-140 is approved. Thanks very much for your help.
