My case: filed Oct. 25th, 04. Got I140 approved in the chinese new year day. FP notice was just received this week and the appointed date is May.

There is no rule about the order of I140, FP, and I485. I guess. One friend got his I140 and I485 approval at the same date last year.

Tip: you can go to the local INS to make another appointment for your FP. Don't just wait.
