drive/rent car for canada land

Hi,
From Wenxuecity, I know some of you have experience for landing in Canada. I also want to do it this week. You mentions that "don't drive your car if you don't like to import it into Canada". why?
1) If you want to drive your own car, you need to report it when went out of USA? right?
2) if you are landing in Canada, they will force you to import or others? or don't let you landing
3) rent car is the better way?
4) which port of entry when you were landing?
