question for 485 system check

I requested an inquiry to California Service Center on 01/10/05, then BCIS On February 7, 2005, responded to my request for more information concerning my case. Then afterwards I got the letter from BCIS, saying that my case is still pending review and undergoing system checks. It will take approximately 180 days for complete before submitting additional inquiries.

So I'd like to ask anyone here what does "undergoing system check" mean? I saw lots of people have background check or name check problem, is that means my case also is under the name check or the background check already?
