My J-1 visa will expire at the end of April and I should leave the country at that time. One company will file H-1B petition for me on April 1, so I can get H-1B status approval before my leaving if the fast process is used.
My question is what kind of the H-1B petition I should use. One is the visa to be issued abroad and the other is status change in the US.
