It took almost two years for FBI to do the name check for my N-400 application. The problem is that my file had been sitting on someone's desk for almost two years. The check itself took less than one week once they started processing it. I tried to get help from the senator as well as the representative in our district. They could do nothing other than contacting FBI on your behalf. I don't think they can influence FBI name check procedure at all.

I guess all you can do right now is to keep pounding FBI by yourself.
