再問I40的Updating Date!

my NIW based I140/485 was submitted to NSC in Jan 2004. On USCIS's website, it shows the "last undated date" for my I140 is still Jan 15, 2004, on which they recived my case.
I would like to ask experienced people: Is this normal? Dose this mean NSC never touch my case since they recieved it? That sucks.
For those people whose I140 got approved, did you guys notice HOW OFTEN did your I140 update before then got approved? cause I submited my I765 last Dec, and I noticed that the "last updated date" changed several times recently, even though, the notice message inside is still the same with before.
