I agree. I know a couple of friends who hired lawyers got delayed in the processing due to the mishandling by the lawyers. They told me that those lawyers did not do anything different than what are stated in the instructions published at the CIC website. Sometimes they are careless due to the increasing volume of cases these two years. In short, what they can do, you can also do, and you can only do better because you care about it more. When something happens to your applications, it happens to those applications done by the lawyers too. No big deal. Lawyers alway say, look at this guy, he could have hired us to avoid this delay. Is that true? Most likely not.
