1) If visit USA couple of times a qarter, no need to hold a H1-B. Just use B visa to enter.
2) At the same time, ask us-based company to apply GC. GC has nothing to do with H1-B.
3) Once GC approved, you have to reside in US more than 6 months a year. Or you can apply reenter permit if you have to stay in China longer than 6 months a year.
4)You may like China so much so do not give a damn on GC later
