I 131 approval notice

My I131 (travel document) was finally approved after 4 month's waiting. I need it desperately for the familiy emergency. One question: is the approval notice the same as the one you use it back to USA? The approval notice is mailing to us, I do not have more time to wait for something like a card. Thanks very much for the help.
